Overview
This tool is prepared in accordance with the RICS QS Pathway Guidebook found in the following link: https://www.rics.org/content/dam/ricsglobal/documents/join-rics/qs_and_construction.pdf
The tool aims at creating a general view about the degree of readiness of the APC candidate before the final submission of the summary of experiences.
This tool is aimed more at assessor than candidates. It could also help candidates to understand the areas of deficiency and help them find a way to bridge the gaps in the submission.
How the tool works
The tool contains all the levels 1,2&3 of all the 31 areas of competence found in the RICS QS Pathway Guide 2018.
the tool is composed of 2 sheets: "APC submission readiness" & " Detailed marking criteria". The "APC submission readiness" provides an overview of the candidates' submission stance in terms of the overall score for each type of comptencies, every competency in general and every level inside of it.
the "Detailed marking criteria" provides a much detailed view of the exhaustive list of the items that should be present within the candidates' submissions.
The assessor can read the candidates' submissions and then contrast them against the key points listed in the table found in the "Detailed marking criteria" sheet. Marks can be given for every criterion from 0 to 3 and then reflected in the "APC submission readiness" sheet.
